The compact, well-balanced housing is comfortable for the entire shift, and the powerful 2D scanner with Green Spot™ technology guarantees accurate and fast reading of barcodes even with gloves on. Description of the Datalogic Skorpio X40 handheld terminal
Comfort throughout the entire shift
The Skorpio X40 is designed for real work with real volumes. The compact and balanced design sits naturally in the hand, reduces the strain on the fingers and wrist and allows operators to stay productive from the start to the end of the shift — without interrupting the work process.
Flexible data entry for every task
Three keyboard options (29, 39 and 48 keys) with widely spaced keys ensure secure and accurate input in every application — including with gloves on. The field-detachable handle allows the operator to switch instantly between handheld and pistol grip, according to the specific task, without losing pace.
Never miss a scan — with Green Spot™
Datalogic’s patented Green Spot™ technology projects visible confirmation directly onto the label at the moment of a successful scan — the operator sees immediately that the barcode has been read correctly, without doubt and without repeated attempts. In combination with the high-performance 2D scanner, the Skorpio X40 reads one-dimensional and two-dimensional barcodes in almost any conditions.
Connectivity across the entire operation
The Skorpio X40 supports Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth® 5.3 for fast data exchange, seamless roaming between access points and reliable operation with modern enterprise applications in every indoor area of the site. The device is based on a Qualcomm® 4490 processor and runs on Android™ Enterprise — with the long life cycle that teams rely on for their fleet of devices.
Zero interruption. Zero compromise.
The Skorpio X40 supports both contact and wireless charging — wireless charging removes the wear on the contacts, the buildup of dirt and the need for maintenance of traditional pin-docking stations. The 7000 mAh hot-swap battery ensures continuous 24/7 operation. Full backward compatibility with the Skorpio X5 docking stations and accessories means that upgrading the devices does not require replacing the entire infrastructure.
