One of the significant advantages that ERP Aurora for the garment industry provides is the generation of a planned production program based on the orders received, through which the required quantity of raw materials and supplies for its execution can be identified. Materials can be planned by order or for the entire production plan.

The program’s users can track warehouse stock in real time, the minimum required stock levels and the quantity of materials that need to be used in production based on customer orders. If, in the course of operations, any of the items used reaches the entered threshold values of the maintained stock, timely information is received in the ERP system.

In real time, the economically most efficient option can be determined for loading the work shift and executing the individual processes within it, depending on the available raw materials and supplies, free machines, the duration of the work shift and the number of employees by department, while observing the deadline for fulfilling the orders.

The Aurora ERP model for the garment industry allows tracking of both orders received for toll manufacturing and semi-finished or finished products given to a subcontractor for production using own materials. In cases where a subcontractor’s services are used, the production parameters participate in the material and time planning of production, and the expected deliveries, actual execution, and ordered and received quantities can be tracked.

It is possible to report the time for executing operations and their number for each employee individually. For this purpose, an Android app has been developed, through which the barcode of the respective operation is scanned. Based on the actual time worked and the number of operations performed to standard, the employee’s efficiency coefficient is calculated. This makes it possible to accurately calculate the labor remuneration.

Through the developed Android app, at each interruption of the work process, employees must indicate whether it is the result of a scheduled interruption, e.g. a lunch break, or an unscheduled interruption, e.g. an equipment breakdown. Through the resulting reporting information, company management can make informed decisions to minimize the time spent on unscheduled interruptions.

The designation of locations for the delivered materials and the manufactured finished products, in combination with the use of HHT devices integrated with our ERP system, reduces the time for carrying out loading and unloading activities and eliminates the possibility of forming shortages of inventory due to incorrect storage. This has a direct impact on the size of warehouse costs.

Every manager strives to organize the sequence of operations performed in a way that guarantees the shortest process duration. Through Aurora ERP for the garment industry and the built-in routing cards, adherence to the sequence of processes is guaranteed, since the starting of a particular operation by an employee in the app occurs exactly in the specific order defined for the respective product. In combination with minimizing unscheduled interruptions, this inevitably leads to a reduction in the duration of the production cycle.
